Level 1 Regular Korean Course Curriculum (Beginner 1)

This is an introductory course designed for learners who are studying Korean for the first time. Students will learn basic Korean pronunciation and Hangeul (Korean alphabet), and practice essential expressions and simple sentence structures needed in everyday life.

1. Learning Objectives

  • Accurately read and write Hangeul consonants and vowels and understand basic pronunciation rules
  • Carry out very simple everyday communication such as greetings, self-introductions, and shopping for basic items
  • Create simple sentences using basic grammar and approximately 800-1,000 core vocabulary items
  • Understand and express basic information such as numbers, time, dates, and prices
  • Read and write short, simple sentences and messages in Korean
