1. Eligibility Requirements

  • Completed high school education (or equivalent) or higher by the application deadline
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
  • Able to provide academic credentials with proper authentication (Apostille or consular verification) according to home country requirements
  • No disqualifying factors for studying Korean language or staying in Korea
  • In good health and capable of participating in full-time intensive language studies

Level 1 Korean Language Curriculum (Beginner)

Learn basic Korean pronunciation and fundamental sentence structures, focusing on essential expressions needed for everyday life situations.

1. Learning Objectives

  • Understand and use essential vocabulary and grammar required for Level 1
  • Comprehend basic expressions needed in daily life and engage in simple conversations
  • Read and write short sentences, introduce yourself, and convey basic information
  • Develop foundation for progressing to intermediate Korean studies

2. Educational Content

  • Pronunciation: Korean alphabet (Hangeul), consonants and vowels, final consonants (받침), intonation patterns
  • Grammar: Basic tenses (present, past, future), particles (subject, object, location markers), basic honorific expressions
  • Vocabulary: Self-introduction, family, school life, food, transportation, and other daily life topics (approximately 800 words)
  • Conversation: Greetings, self-introduction, telling time and dates, describing locations, basic shopping expressions, making simple requests

Dormitory Information (New Students)

How to Apply

  • Check the dormitory option on the Korean Language Program application form (single or double room).
  • Dormitory application is limited to one semester per application, regardless of the program registration period. (Extension can be requested during the designated extension period within the semester.)

Announcement of Results

  • Dormitory results will be announced individually by email after admission screening.
  • Even if you apply for the dormitory, assignment is not guaranteed.

Check-in / Check-out

  • Check-in: One day before the semester begins
  • Check-out: One day after the semester ends
  • Early check-in or extended stay requires approval and additional fees.
  • Students must submit a written pledge to follow dormitory rules.

Dormitory Living Guidelines

  • Room inspections are conducted once a month.
  • Official garbage bags must be used (White: general waste / Yellow: food waste).
  • Dormitory fees are non-refundable after check-in.
