Namseoul University Korean Language Center Regular Course Application Guidelines

This guide is for students applying to the regular Korean language course. Please check the eligibility, required documents, application procedure, tuition, and contact information below.

2. Eligibility for Korean Language Program (D-4 Visa)

  • High school graduates with an average score of at least 7.0 over 3 years
  • Applicants who can submit required documents and evidence
  • Both parents must be foreign nationals
  • Applicants with no disqualifying reasons for attending Korean language classes or staying in Korea

3. Program Overview

The regular training program at the International Cultural Exchange Institute is a Korean language training program focusing on international students from elementary to advanced levels. The 1-year academic calendar consists of four semesters: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, plus special semesters and breaks.

7. Application Procedure

  1. Complete online application form
    Submit the online application form on the International Cultural Exchange Institute website.
  2. Pay the admission fee
    Pay the admission fee of 100,000 KRW (non-refundable).
  3. Submit required documents
    Send or submit in person the required application documents to the International Cultural Exchange Institute office.
  4. Document screening
    The screening process takes approximately 1-2 weeks from document receipt.
  5. Admission notification
    Check the result online or receive notification.
  6. Tuition payment
    Pay the tuition fee within the allowed period.
  7. Visa application
    Apply for the D-4 visa at the Korean embassy/consulate in your country.
  8. Entry to Korea
    Enter Korea and begin your studies.

8. Important Notes

⚠️ Registration Requirements

  • Prohibition of registering to study at two schools – Students admitted to two or more universities are only allowed to register to study at one school. If this is violated, their admission and enrollment at all schools will be revoked.
  • Students admitted to Namseoul University must deposit tuition fees into the designated bank account within the allowed period.
  • In case of money transfer from abroad, international money transfer fees must be borne by the student.

Level 1 Regular Korean Course Curriculum (Beginner)

This is an introductory course designed for learners who are studying Korean for the first time. Students will learn basic Korean pronunciation, Hangul (Korean alphabet), and practice essential expressions and simple sentence structures needed in everyday life through interactive and communicative approaches.
